Kiwicon is the fourth best technical information security conference within the Australia-Pacific region but remains triumphant as New Zealand’s best (only) hacker conference. organized by a masochistic cabal of the security community, Kiwicon tries to bring together the business infosec industry, academics, students, and amateur hackers to discover the new, the attention-grabbing, and technologically crackin’. first run in 2007, by now Kiwicon has gained name, size, and an extra improvement run for the men’s toilets. attendance in 2013 was around 800 individuals (although we tend to do not claim all of them are paying attention) and thirty or so speakers, staff, and crue.
