BSides Austin 2017 is an independently run, by the volunteer-run cyber security community, information security unconference. Our programming focuses on high-quality content, and our smaller, additional intimate networking atmosphere fosters robust audience participation and overall cluster interaction.
BSides Conference is a community-driven framework for organizing and holding Cyber Security Conferences, an idea that began within the USA in 2009. as a result of the call for papers, that year for Black Hat Vegas was oversubscribed, a variety of quality speakers were rejected—not as a result of lack of quality however of lack of space and time. Those unable to present decided to carry their own conference on the “b aspect.”
